Event Details
In March 1989, Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist at CERN, submitted a proposal for an information management system. By late 1990, he had implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server.
He gave the Web to the world for free, creating the platform that popularized the Internet and transformed the Information Age.
